Moving from another platform

What this does
Moves the store you run today onto Torva without retyping it. Torva reads your public site, builds a preview of your new store from it, and when you activate, copies everything it read into your Desk.
What comes across automatically:
- Products, variants and prices, including sold-out options.
- Product photos. They are copied into Torva, so a dead link on your old host cannot break your new product pages.
- Certificates of analysis, filed against the right products with their lot numbers where the certificate shows them.
- Your shipping, returns, privacy and terms policies, with health and dosing wording taken out.
- Your content pages (About, FAQ, lab testing and similar) and your navigation.
- On Growth and Command, the design of the site itself, rebuilt as a better version of your store. On Core you choose one of the Core themes and your catalog goes into it.
- Redirects from your old product and page addresses to the new ones.
Before you start
- Your current site's address. It only has to be publicly reachable: Torva reads what any visitor can see and never asks for your old platform's login.
- A CSV export of your customers from your old platform, if you want to bring them (see Import your customers).
- Nothing on your current site changes. It keeps running, and taking orders, until you point your domain at Torva.
Steps
- Open torvaos.com/start, choose I already have a website and enter your address. A link of the form
torvaos.com/start?url=yourstore.comopens with it already filled in. - Select Read my site, then build the preview and look through every page.
- Choose a plan and activate. Your products, photos, certificates, policies, pages and redirects are copied into the Desk. The setup guide then lists what moved and what is left.
- Import your customers from Customers → Import customers.
- Upload any certificates that were never public on your old site with Products → Upload certificates.
- When the store is ready, connect your domain in Domains.
What happens next
When your domain points at Torva, a visitor following an old link — /product/… on WooCommerce, /products/… or /collections/…/products/… on Shopify, old page and category addresses — is sent to the matching new page with a permanent redirect, keeping any tracking parameters. Old shop and category listings go to your catalog.
Every redirect is listed in Store health → Redirects, where you can change one or add your own. Any address that still returns "not found" shows up there with a one-click Create redirect.
Common problems
My order history did not come across. Torva does not import past orders. Keep your old platform's export as the record for those; new orders start in Torva.
Reviews, gift card balances, discount codes or my affiliate list are missing. None of those are moved. Re-create discount codes in Discounts, and invite affiliates again (affiliates are on Command).
A certificate is missing. Only certificates published on your site can be read. Upload the rest in one go with Products → Upload certificates.
An old link still goes nowhere. Open Store health → Redirects and create a redirect for it from the not-found list.
Still stuck?
Ask Torva from inside your account. It knows everything in this article and can also see what your own store is currently doing, so it can answer for your situation rather than in general.
