What we aim for
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for torvaos.com, the Desk and the storefront themes Torva provides. We build with semantic HTML, visible keyboard focus, text alternatives for meaningful images and a skip link on public pages, and we fix barriers when we find them.
What we do not claim yet
- Torva has not had an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim full conformance with WCAG 2.2 AA or any other standard.
- Parts of the product — data tables in the Desk, the storefront editor and some embedded provider screens, such as billing and card checkout, which are run by those providers — may be harder to use with assistive technology than we want.
- A merchant’s storefront uses a Torva theme, but the words, images, alt text and documents on it are the merchant’s. The merchant is responsible for the content they publish.
Tell us about a barrier
Email support@torvaos.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and, if you are happy to, the browser and assistive technology you use. We reply within two business days, and we will help you get done what you came to do by another route while we fix it.
You can also write to DC Northern Holdings LLC, 10177 Marmot Circle, Anchorage, Alaska 99515, United States.
If the barrier is on a store built on Torva, you can tell the store directly or tell us; we will pass a storefront report to the merchant and fix anything in the theme ourselves.
