What this does
Serves your shop at your own web address instead of a Torva one.
Before you start
- A domain you already own.
- Access to its DNS records.
Steps
- Open Domains.
- Enter the domain you want to use.
- Add the DNS records Torva shows you, at your registrar.
- Select Check.
What happens next
Once DNS resolves, a certificate is issued automatically and your shop loads over https. This usually takes minutes but DNS can take longer to propagate.
Common problems
It has said pending for hours. Check the records match exactly. Some registrars add your domain to the end of a value automatically, which turns shop.example.com into shop.example.com.example.com.
The site loads but says not secure. The certificate is still being issued. Give it a few minutes after DNS resolves.
