What this does
Attaches a document to a product. It appears on the product page and in your storefront's documentation library.
Before you start
- The document as a file.
- The lot number it refers to, if it is a certificate of analysis.
Steps
- Open the product.
- Find Documents and select Add document.
- Choose the kind — certificate of analysis, specification, or other.
- Give it a title customers will understand. Include the lot number for a certificate.
- Upload and save.
What happens next
The document is shown on the product page and listed in your storefront's documentation library, so a customer can match a lot number on a label to the certificate for it.
Common problems
Customers cannot match a vial to its certificate. Put the lot number in the document title. That is the only thing tying the two together for the person holding the bottle.
The document is not showing. The product has to be active and published for anything on it to be public.
