Why Torva
Torva OS is the storefront and back office for research peptide stores: built for processor review, with Zelle, Venmo and Cash App orders matched and reminded, COAs by lot and compliance checks on every save. We built it because we needed it ourselves.
The honest version
Not a market we chose. A store we were already losing time and money running.
We run Arctic Lab Supply, a research-supply store in Anchorage, Alaska. Everything in Torva exists because we needed it there first.
That is worth saying plainly, because the alternative explanation — a software company that surveyed a market and picked a niche — would predict a very different product. It would not predict a gate you cannot turn off, or a product name generator, or a Mark paid button.
Payments were the first wall. In this category, card processing is hard to get and hard to keep, and most stores end up on pay-by-app: a customer sends money through Zelle, Cash App or Venmo, and somebody matches it to an order by hand.
Advertising was the second. Accounts get disabled over compound names and phrasing that appear on every site in the category, including the sites that are being careful.
Compliance was the third, and the worst, because it is the one where nobody will tell you the rules. There is no document that says which words a reviewer keys on, which product names get you declined, or what a policy page has to contain. You learn it by getting turned down and guessing at why.
And underneath all of it, software that did not fit. A general ecommerce platform has no idea what a certificate of analysis is, that a lot number matters, that a vial gets cheaper in tens, or that a product name can be the reason the account closes.
Not a storefront — plenty of those exist. The parts that were missing: the research-use and 21+ gate on entry and again at checkout. Product names in the code style processors accept. A pass that strips dosing and effect language out of every page a build writes. Policy pages drafted instead of left blank. Certificates attached to the product and the lot they belong to. Quantity pricing that matches how the category actually buys.
Then the daily work, because that was the other half of the problem: pay-by-app orders with QR codes and one-click confirmation, batch shipping labels, receipts and order emails, affiliates, and one place to see what happened.
That is the part we did not plan. Store owners in the same category kept asking the same question — how are you handling the payments, the names, the policies — and the honest answer was a system we had built for ourselves that we could not hand over.
Torva is that system, rebuilt as something we can hand over. It is multi-tenant, it starts from your site rather than ours, and nothing in it is specific to our store.
The clearest way we know to show what Torva checks is to run it against Arctic Lab Supply and show you the output, including the parts that fail. Arctic Lab Supply is not built on Torva — it is a normal store on its own platform, which is exactly why its score is worth reading.
It scored 65 out of 100: 7 findings across 13 pages and 24 products. Every one of them is something a Torva build handles before you see the preview.
The alternatives
Each of these works for somebody. Here is the honest short version for a research peptide store, with the sourced comparisons one click away.
Its policies restrict drugs and pharmaceuticals, and stores in this category report closures of both the store and Shopify Payments. The gate, COAs and quantity pricing are apps you add on top.
It works if you run it: hosting, updates, an age-gate plugin, a COA plugin, an email tool, and Zelle matched by hand. Plugin updates that break checkout are yours to fix.
A one-time build (iPeptides publishes starting prices of $1,499 and $3,499), then hosting, updates and the back office are yours to arrange, and the next change is another quote.
One monthly price, no setup fee and no cut of your sales. The gate, COAs by lot, the pay-by-app checkout and the back office are built in, and keeping them working is our job.
What you can count on
Torva launched in September 2026. We won’t invent customers, so here is what stands behind the product instead.
Your first payment is refundable in full for 30 days: email support@torvaos.com. Month to month after that, and you cancel online in Settings → Billing.
How the guarantee worksThe database itself keeps each store’s data separate, on every table. Only the store owner can change payout details, and every account can use two-step verification, which owners can require for the team.
Security at TorvaEmail support@torvaos.com and get a reply within one business day, or book a 15-minute call. For the first stores, that person is the founder.

Torva launched in September 2026, built by people who run a research-supply store and got tired of the same problems. We have no customer case studies yet and won’t invent any. What we can show you is your own store rebuilt, and the real back office in the demo. The operating company is DC Northern Holdings LLC in Anchorage, Alaska.
No, and nobody honestly can. Each processor decides for itself. What Torva does is build your store to what processors publicly review (the 21+ research-use gate, accurate product identification, no dosing or effect language, written policies) and, on Command, check your live site every week and email you when something serious changes. While cards are being reviewed, or if a card account pauses, you keep selling on Zelle, Cash App and Venmo.
You do. Settings → Advanced → Export everything downloads your whole store, and orders, products and customers also export as CSV. It’s month to month, you cancel online, and after a plan ends you can still sign in and export for at least 90 days. Your domain and your Stripe account stay yours.
Email support@torvaos.com with “urgent, money affected” in the first line; payment and checkout problems go first. The Terms promise a reply within one business day. There’s no phone line and no 24/7 desk, and we won’t pretend there is. Your storefront and pay-by-app checkout keep working if something in the Desk breaks.
Keep them. Torva replaces the plumbing they would otherwise build and babysit: the gate, lot-matched COAs, the pay-by-app checkout with reminders, and the claim checks. Growth includes a developer API; Command adds full API access and webhooks.
No. No transaction fee, no percentage and no setup fee: only the monthly plan. Card fees are Stripe’s, charged to your own account, and Zelle, Cash App and Venmo never touch Torva.
