Migration

A better website should not mean starting over.

What to bring, what to rebuild and what to verify before you move an existing research store.

Keep the current store running while you prepare

A redesign and a domain switch are separate decisions. Start by preparing a private draft, comparing the new shopping experience with your current one and writing down what must survive the move. Do not change your domain merely to explore a theme.

The most valuable part of your current website may be the information inside it: product names, variant details, recognizable branding, useful answers and URLs that customers already know. A migration should preserve that context while improving the way customers find and use it.

Build an inventory before you import

Export the catalog from the current platform if you can. A structured export is usually more useful than copying product pages one by one. Keep the original file so you can reconcile counts and prices after an import.

A public website cannot reveal private order history, customer consent records or payment credentials. Those need their own authorized export or connection; a URL scanner cannot supply them.

  • Catalog: product and variant identifiers, prices, stock and quantity rules.
  • Brand assets: the original logo, product photography and image descriptions.
  • Documentation: original COA files and the product and lot each document belongs to.
  • Content: useful pages, policies, contact details and the existing URL list.
  • Operations: shipping rates, tax settings, active discounts and connected services.

Choose the new experience, then check the details

Torva offers eight theme directions, with a common visual editor for supported sections and page layouts. Choose a direction for the brand rather than just the homepage. Open a product, a document page, the catalog and the cart on a phone.

Compare the finished catalog with the original export. A good-looking product card is not proof that the correct variant, price, stock or document survived. Test a multi-vial quantity break, an unavailable variant and a product with missing documentation.

Make the switch a deliberate final step

Before changing the domain, review the URL mapping, shipping and tax behavior, order emails, mobile checkout and provider configuration. Confirm which redirects your deployment supports and test them. Keep an export and a recovery plan for the previous site.

The Torva scanner and automated catalog, imagery and COA assembly are in development for Growth and Command. Today you can explore theme demos and a brand-name-and-color preview with sample content. Public subscription activation is not yet open; the preview is not a completed migration.
