What this does
The public shop: its theme, its pages, its copy, and whether it is live.
Before you start
- At least one active product, or the shop has nothing to show.
Steps
- Open Storefront.
- Choose a starting theme and adjust its colours, type and layout.
- Preview privately. The private preview never takes real orders.
- Publish when it looks right.
What happens next
Publishing makes the current draft public at your store address. Your draft and what is published are separate, so you can keep editing without anyone seeing half-finished work.
Common problems
My changes are not showing on the public site. They are in the draft until you publish.
Checkout does not work on the preview. By design — the private preview never places orders. Test on the published store.
The shop looks empty. Only active products appear. Check their status in Products.
