Set up sending and authenticate your domain
Connect a sending account and prove you own the domain you send from, so mailboxes accept your email instead of filtering it.

What this does
Sets the address your store's email comes from, and authenticates the domain so the rest of the internet believes it.
Before you start
- Access to your domain's DNS records.
- A domain you own. You cannot authenticate a gmail.com address.
Steps
- Open Settings → Email.
- Enter the address you want to send from.
- Torva shows the DNS records to add. Add them at your domain registrar.
- Select Check. Verification is usually quick but can take a few hours to propagate.
What happens next
Once the domain is verified, your email is signed and mailboxes will accept it. Until then it is unauthenticated and will be filtered or refused, whatever Torva shows on screen.
Common problems
It has said pending for hours. DNS propagation. Check the records are exactly as shown, including any trailing dots your registrar adds.
It says failed. The reason is shown on the domain. Usually a record that was edited or never saved.
Everything looks connected but nothing arrives. Verification is about your domain, not your recipients. See Emails are not sending.
