What this does

Turns a stack of orders into three things for the packing table: a pick list with how many of each product to pull, a shipping list with each box's contents and address, and every label.

Before you start

  • To buy labels here: EasyPost connected, and a ship-from address and default package saved in Settings → Shipping & fulfilment.
  • The pick list and shipping list work without a label account.

Steps

  1. Open Orders and tick the orders you are shipping. Filter by paid and unfulfilled first if that helps.
  2. Select Ship: labels and shipping list in the bar that appears.
  3. Select Get rates. Each order gets the service the customer paid for where the carrier offers it, otherwise the cheapest. Change any of them from its list.
  4. Select Buy labels. The total is on the button; nothing is bought until you press it.
  5. Select Print labels for every label, one per 4×6 page, then Print shipping list or Download shipping list for the spreadsheet.

What happens next

Each label and tracking number is saved on its order, and the customer's shipping email goes out with the tracking number. Tick each box on the printed list as it is packed.

Common problems

An order says it already has a shipment. It was started from the order page. Open that order to finish or print its label.

An order has no rates. Check its address; an incomplete one is the usual cause.

Unpaid orders are listed without a label. Labels are only bought for paid orders, so nothing ships before the money arrives.
