What this does
Explains where the money from your sales goes, and how to change the bank account it lands in.
Before you start
- Owner permissions.
- Your bank details, if you are changing the account.
Steps
To change the account your payouts go to:
- Open Payments.
- Select your connected processor to open its settings.
- Change the payout bank account there. Your processor holds these details, not Torva — we never see or store your bank account.
- Save. The processor may re-verify you before the next payout.
What happens next
Torva never holds your money. A customer pays your processor, and your processor pays your bank on its own schedule — commonly every two days or weekly, with a longer wait on your first payout while your account is verified.
The figures in Analytics count what customers paid on the day they ordered. Your bank shows what settled. Those two will not match on any given day, and that is expected rather than a fault.
Common problems
My payout has not arrived. Check your processor's dashboard first — it shows the payout, its status and its expected date. Most delays are a verification step it is waiting on, and it will say which.
My first payout is taking much longer. Normal. Processors hold the first one while they verify a new account.
The amount is less than my sales. Refunds, processor fees and chargebacks come out before the payout. Your processor itemises them.
I changed my bank account and the next payout failed. The details were rejected by the bank. Check them in your processor's dashboard — a rejected account stops payouts until it is corrected.
Still stuck?
Ask Torva from inside your account. It knows everything in this article and can also see what your own store is currently doing, so it can answer for your situation rather than in general.
