What this does
Composes a sequence of emails that responds to an event — a checkout abandoned, a first order placed, an order delivered — with delays between the steps.
Before you start
- Sending set up and your domain verified.
Steps
- Open Email → Automations.
- Start from a template or build your own.
- Choose the trigger and write each step, with the delay before it.
- Save it as prepared when you are happy with it.
What happens next
Torva does not fire automation triggers yet. An automation you have written and prepared is stored correctly and will not send anything, because nothing currently watches for the event that would start it.
This is a gap in Torva, not a mistake in your setup. We would rather tell you plainly than have you wait on an email that is never coming. Use a campaign for anything that needs to go out now.
Common problems
My abandoned-checkout sequence has never run. See above. It is not you.
It says prepared rather than active. Prepared is as far as an automation currently goes.
Can I get the emails out another way? Yes — send a campaign to the customers you want to reach.
