Company and product

Name
Torva OS (also written TorvaOS)
Website
torvaos.com
What it is
Hosted ecommerce software for research-supply and research peptide brands. One workspace, the Desk, runs the storefront, checkout, orders, customers, email, affiliates, shipping and compliance tooling.
Not to be confused with
torva.com, an unrelated company that sells sinks, faucets and water systems for RVs, vans and boats. Torva OS has no connection to it or to any other business named Torva.
Founded
2026
Based in
Anchorage, Alaska, United States (ZIP 99515)
Who it is for
New and existing online stores that sell research-use-only materials, such as research peptides, and need the payment, documentation and compliance workflows that general-purpose platforms do not provide.
Business model
Monthly software subscription per store. Torva OS is software only: merchants connect their own payment processor and carrier accounts, Torva never holds merchant funds and takes no share of sales.
Status
Open for new stores. Storefront previews, theme demos and a read-only Desk demo are free.
Previous founding offer
Closed to new subscriptions. Current monthly plans are Core $99, Growth $199 and Command $399. Existing subscriptions retain their agreed billing terms.
Closest alternative
Lapis (uselapis.io), the other hosted platform built for research peptide brands. See Torva OS vs Lapis.
Responsibility
Merchants remain responsible for what they sell and the claims they make. Torva’s compliance tools are review aids, not legal advice or certification, and Torva does not guarantee payment-processor approval.

What Torva OS includes

Storefront

  • Eight designed themes: Axiom, Union, Cascade, Obsidian, Protocol, Helix, Meridian and Nocturne (2 on Core, 6 on Growth, 8 on Command).
  • Storefront Studio visual editor with version history, restore and republish.
  • On Growth and Command, a preview rebuilt from the merchant’s current public website.
  • Custom domain: on DNS providers that support it the merchant signs in and approves and the records are written automatically; otherwise guided DNS records with copy buttons and live checks. Email is sent from the merchant’s own verified domain.
  • Multi-vial quantity pricing (up to 10 price breaks per variant), collections, discounts, promotions, gift cards and store credit.

Compliance tooling

  • A 21+ and research-use gate on every storefront, re-confirmed before checkout (a self-declaration, not identity verification).
  • Product identity and policy review preserves factual product names and original photos. Torva does not disguise products with code names or edited labels, and neither establishes legality or processor eligibility. What may be sold is set by the Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits controlled or scheduled substances and prescription drugs whatever they are called.
  • Health and dosing claim removal when a store is built or imported; Torva Watch rescans catalog, storefront, email and affiliate content on every save.
  • A policy reviewer and one-click starter text for shipping, returns, privacy and terms pages.
  • Certificates of analysis kept per lot (lot, test date, laboratory, purity), newest lot first on the product page with earlier lots listed, plus a documentation page; bulk upload matches product and lot from file names.
  • A free processor risk check at torvaos.com/risk-check that scores any public store address without an account.

Payments

  • Cards through the merchant’s own Stripe account (embedded onboarding, with Apple Pay and Google Pay). Authorize.net and NMI: coming this week.
  • Zelle, Cash App and Venmo beside card payment in one checkout, with on-screen instructions and a QR code; orders wait as awaiting payment until the merchant marks them paid, and the customer gets a payment reminder after six hours and again after two days.
  • Refunds through Stripe from the order; merchant-entered sales-tax registrations and rates applied at checkout.
  • Not offered: ACH bank payments and subscriptions.

Shipping and operations

  • Labels bought through the merchant’s own EasyPost account, with tracking returned to the order; self-shipped parcels take a typed carrier and tracking number.
  • Batch shipping for paid orders with a pick list, a shipping list (print or CSV), 4×6 labels and return labels.
  • Inventory with low-stock alerts, purchasing with purchase orders and receiving, manual orders, and product CSV import and export.
  • Team members with seven roles and two-factor sign-in; email and Telegram alerts for orders, payments, stock, support and affiliates.

Marketing and analytics

  • Every plan: order, payment, payment-reminder, shipping and refund emails and one abandoned-checkout reminder. Growth adds the abandoned-checkout sequence, first-order welcome, delivery follow-up, review request, back-in-stock, newsletter welcome, browse reminder and campaigns. Command adds reorder reminders, winback, a best-customer note and a new-lot certificate notice. Marketing email reaches only opted-in customers, and nothing sends until the store’s email domain is verified.
  • Affiliate program on Command only: tracked links and codes with commission states (pending, qualified, payable, paid), plus tiers, bonus rules and payout records. Stores that already ran a programme on a lower plan before the change keep it.
  • Analytics: revenue and AOV by recorded source, first and last touch per order, customer retention cohorts and a live visitor map.
  • Customer accounts on Growth and Command: an account area on the store’s own domain with emailed-code sign-in (Apple and Google optional), order history, tracking and email preferences.

Moving an existing store

  • A read of the merchant’s public site brings products, prices, photos, certificates of analysis with lot numbers, policies, content pages and navigation, plus the design itself on Growth and Command.
  • Old product and page URLs (including Shopify and WooCommerce URL shapes) get permanent redirects automatically at activation, editable in Store health.
  • Customers import by CSV from Shopify, WooCommerce or any spreadsheet; marketing consent carries over only where the export shows it, and nobody is emailed. Order history, reviews, gift card balances and discount codes are not imported.

AI and developers

  • Ask Torva, an AI assistant inside the Desk.
  • Claude and other MCP clients connect through an OAuth connector: read access on Growth; read plus storefront and email draft editing on Command. Nothing publishes or sends without the merchant.
  • Developer API on Growth and Command; webhooks on Command.
  • A support inbox: forwarded support email arrives in the Desk with drafted replies built from the order record.

How onboarding works

  1. Preview a store free at torvaos.com/start, with no card: pick a theme or, on Growth and Command, rebuild from your current website. The preview has a private link and QR code to open it on any device or share it.
  2. Choose a plan and pay through Whop’s secure checkout. The first subscription payment is covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  3. Follow the setup guide: business details, products (or CSV import), the editor, compliance fixes and pay-by-app methods.
  4. Set up shipping with your own EasyPost account, connect your domain and verify your email sending domain.
  5. Go live, then connect card processing: it unlocks once the research-ready store is live on your own domain, because processors review the live site.
