Keep service messages and marketing distinct
An order confirmation helps the buyer understand an existing transaction. A promotional campaign asks for another one. Treat their purpose, audience and permission requirements separately in your own sending process.
Start by listing the messages already sent by your store and connected providers. Two tools sending the same receipt or reminder can create confusion even when each works as configured.
Choose moments with a clear reason to write
Useful starting points are an eligible checkout reminder, a relevant follow-up to an opted-in customer and a message to a selected inactive segment. Each needs an entry condition and an exit condition, especially when a customer purchases.
Example: someone enters a checkout reminder workflow and completes the order ten minutes later. The planned reminder should be suppressed. Test that change of state rather than only previewing the email design.
- Name the audience and why they qualify.
- Define the delay and maximum number of messages.
- Stop when the intended action occurs.
- Review unsubscribes, failures and duplicate enrollments.
Measure the result without double counting
Use distinct campaign identifiers and inspect order evidence. An email click is not a purchase; a claimed conversion may overlap another channel’s report. Review actual order outcomes and sending costs together.
Torva brings email and customer tools into Growth and Command. Confirm the specific trigger, sender configuration and audience behavior before enabling a live workflow.
